Aspen Dental - Angola, IN

WARNING long but important review, deserves no stars Serious Negligence, Misdiagnosis, and Unnecessary Treatment – I am submitting this review to document what I believe to be grossly negligent dental care, improper diagnosis, and unethical treatment recommendations by Aspen Dental. Approximately two years ago, I presented to Aspen Dental for dental care and was advised that a tooth extraction was necessary. During the extraction, a portion of the tooth fractured and was left inside the gum and then two stitches were placed. I personally removed a fragment of the tooth myself the same day, indicating that the extraction was incomplete. Despite this, I was discharged and informed that the procedure was successfully completed. When I contacted the office about this the next day, I was told

I am so grateful for the staff, I was so nervous coming in, and they took the time to walk me through everything. I tried to ensure I understood my insurance prior to my arrival and the questions I still had, they were honest and upfront. I really needed a same day cleaning, and they were able to come through for me. The Hygienist Corinne was amazing, she was so kind and sweet. Thank you for making this a great experience.

Every time I come in to the Aspen in Angola, everyone is so friendly! I needed some fillings done at my last visit, and Baleigh and Dr Terry calmed my nerves and made me feel so much better! And my teeth look amazing now! You wouldn't even know I had fillings done!

I got unexpected news about my gum health coming in along with unexpected cost. However, the staff broke everything down for me step by step to help me understand. I don't think anyone has ever explained my insurance to me and they took the time to do so and they helped me come up with a step by step financial plan I was comfortable with to help me get my treatment done and feeling better.

I was apprehensive about going to Aspen Dental, due to some not so positive things I had heard. I was changing dentists because my current, reputable, dentist was not in network for my Medicare plan. I have gone to the dentist twice a year for the last 40 years. I have good teeth and just needed a clean and check. First they took numerous X-rays and the dentist did a quick check and said no cavities. The hygienist did a routine check and informed me I needed some sort of periodontal treatment. When I told them all I wanted was a cleaning, they refused until I had the treatment. They told me my previous dentist wasn't looking out for my health.
