Ascension Seton Hays

The staff and nurses were all good about giving me updates about my husband after his surgery. Although I had to ask a few times for the surgeon or his assistant to call me. The assistant did eventually call and gave me a good report on my husband. Today is day six since his surgery he is still confused about things. I feel he might have been given too much anesthesia.

The staff the doctors are so caring and careful providing education behind every step or process. I was checked on consistently, cared for during some Of my most vulnerable moments and comfortable and offered consistent support or assistance without judgment. This is the second time I have had procedure here and both times have been great.

Went to see my mother in the emergency room which she had told me she was still in the same room she was in last night. When I told them I was there to see my mother I was told to have a seat so they could see what the nurse says I was told to go to the main entrance and wait in the waiting room because she was being moved right now to her own room I called my mother she said she was still in the same room she was in sense last night that they we’re still getting her ready to be moved. I had to leave could not wait. I came back about 4 hours later to see her now they are saying she is in critical condition and are saying I can not see her. Was finally able to see her hours laters they will be sending her to Austin hospital I can’t wait!!!

The doctors and nurses that were on my case were absolutely amazing. They made sure I didnt need anything and were there when I did. Everyone explained everything exactly what was happening what they were doi. And any I formation I needed to return home in detail. My stay and experience was the best I could of asked for.

I went in tonight (March 5, 2026) at 9:30 PM with my 37 week pregnant fiancé. I would like to say I understand being busy but when the option to be admitted into the hospital is through the ER after hours. There was no separation of patients and patients ranged form sickness to physical pain to pregnancy. Now tell me how my fiancé had to wait HOURS to get admitted for having shortness of breath. The emergency rooms being full has nothing to do with the type of patient my fiancé was. There was no sense of urgency. On top of that, the front desk lady (Hispanic lady) did not even speak to my fiancé when filling out the form nor did she mention to ANYONE that she was pregnant. Another couple came who was 29 weeks pregnant and admitted them before us. We had been there for an hour. There was s
