Ascension Columbia St. Mary's - Water Tower Medical Commons

I have been coming to Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Water Tower since the beginning of my pregnancy, and I’m very thankful for the care I received. Dr. Charles Chung and his team provided excellent treatment and tried their best for a normal delivery. The hospitality after delivery was amazing and truly world-class. I’m grateful to all the doctors, OB-GYN team, anesthesiologists, and nurses for their kindness and support. Highly recommended!

Dr. Johnson did a standard history and physical and said I was better than before. I asked what he thought of the high density radioactive spot on my back noted Dr. B who read the PT scan. He said he’d like to hear what Dr. Scarlett thinks, as before (I will do that). Then I asked what he thought of the essay I wrote comparing the two dermatologists. He said he understood my seeing and liking one better than the other, but some patients took the opposite view——I could see that, too, and of course people have different viewpoints.

Frustrating. My allergy test was not conclusive, then did test on my back still not conclusive then was sent to take a blood test. I went immediately to lab. It was 3:55 pm. Door was locked and the lab tech waved me away. Went back to doctor’s office and was told that lab closed at 4 pm. Why was I not told that. Directed to come back next day. No apology.

Dr. Lent and her PA, Lorraine Witt are outstanding. I have serious allergies to drugs and they are meticulous in prescribing medications that are safe. They are both extremely kind, compassionate caregivers who spend the time needed to diagnose, resolve and maintain my illnesses.

This experience was unacceptable. While in the ER, I spent over an hour listening to the staff act completely unprofessional — laughing, swearing, and carrying on like they were anywhere but a hospital. A male staff member used profanity at least five times that I could count. It was immature, disrespectful, and disturbing to hear while trying to receive care. With my background in HR, I was absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism and oversight in this facility.
