My Husband was admitted to Arkansas Extended Care Hospital or LTAC on September 16 after being admitted to CHI ST. Vincent HS on August 27 with Acute Pancreatitis. He Spent 15 Days in ICU, 3 days in Step down before being moved to LTAC. We were greeted with kindness and compassion from the very first moment and throughout his entire stay until October 25. My husband had suffered the worst case of Pancreatitis a person could have, the Doctors said. The ENTIRE staff of Nurses, Techs, Respiratory and Physical Therapists, Wound Care, Office staff, House Cleaning and The Many Doctors that treated and cared for my Husband were outstanding, compassionate, and genuinely concerned with his recovery process. This place took great care of my mother! She went there after stepping down from the ICU and being weaned off the ventilator. The nurses were phenomenal. We only had a complaint about one. It was hard to catch the doctors and specialists when they did rounds, but they always took time to call me if I requested it. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star is because of the poor discharge planning and the one nurse not making sure my mother got the proper nutrition when she knew she couldn’t feed herself. I had to get my mother in an IP rehab myself. Everyone there was extremely nice and took our calls anytime of the day/night and answered any questions we may have had.
