I’ve been to 3 other Physical Therapy places, the past 10 years, I’m not saying they weren’t good, but I started going to Aquatic Health & Rehab a year ago for Hip problems, Dr Terry Shepherd did my evaluation, on all my past evaluation, they never took the time to do that extensive evaluation, she sent me to the pool PT and, Zach did my Pool PT, he was excellent and he really was paying attention, he stopped me a couple times, because he noticed I wasn’t doing the exercises right, by the time my 6 weeks were over, my hip was so much better. Then a week after I completed PT, I was in a bad car accident, my Dr referred me back to Aquatic Health and Rehab. I joined their Pool Wellness Membership for $60 month. Now I’ve slowly found out that they’re closed holidays, and the day after Thanksgiving. They’re closed ‘if the air temperature feels 55 degrees or below.’ It was sunny & far above 55 degrees this afternoon. Pool was closed. Their signs don’t always match what their staff told me. Now they’re closed the entire day if they feel like it? Not wanting to pay licensed staff or an unlicensed trainer to be at the pool is fine. Please inform members well in advance! I was told by an employee, that it’s, ‘Not wanting to give staff comp time for working wkends at the pool. She’s giving free comp time.’ They’re closed more days than the pool is open in Nov. Aquatic Health and Rehab is an amazing resource for people who are looking for a quality rehab center. Their customized programs are designed for maximum experiences with a variety of different activities. The staff works together to provide quality care whether in the pool or upstairs in the rehab facility. Karla, Zach and Ron are just nice people who treat patients with respect and understanding. I highly recommend them.

I have been to 2 different physical therapy establishments in the past 3 years trying to fix a labrum tear, tendon tear and I.T band problem that just wouldn't heal. I first found out it wasn't just that problem. It was my back causing it as I was diagnosed with only part of the problem initially. I am grateful to have been sent to Dr. Terry. Dr. Terry was very thorough in her assessment, and within the first day she saw the problem. I am hypermobile which has caused my hips to constantly loose stability. With the help and encouragement from Dr. Terry, I have learned how to correctly engage my core (what muscles should be engaged, how to engage them) to perform exercises in the proper way to actually correct my issues.
