Animal Eye Guys - Naples

We have a 13 1/2 year-old Shih Tzu. She has been diabetic for 2 1/2 years and about a year after becoming diabetic went blind. We live in Michigan so I’ve had most of her care in Michigan and at OSU, but she had a lens replacement and then subsequently lost one of her eyes due to infection. The few times we have been in Naples with her we have had to see an eye specialist and found Dr. Overton. Dr. Overton has been amazing to work with. Our poor little dog continues to have corneal dysfunction in her remaining eye but Dr. Overton has helped us very much in managing her eye health. She is thoughtful, kind, and clear with her instructions. She thoroughly considered our dog’s history. I highly recommend her.

We had the pleasure of being consulted by Dr. Taryn Overton for our dog Marvin’s dry eye issue. I had assumed he had an ulcer from signs we’ve seen before but he just had some inflammatory responses. Dr. Overton was lovely; she was warm, gave her TIME without rushing, EXPLAINED the situation and answered all my questions. She completely exceeded my expectations as I have had ‘ill tempered’ doctor experiences in the past. I would highly recommend this clinic for pets’ eye disorders! Additionally, Mary at the front desk is very aimable. She is always a pleasure to chat with and makes the ‘vet experience’ better.

I am beyond impressed with Animal Eye Guys! Dr. Overton and her staff were so professional, kind, and knowledgeable. They treated my very large and very reactive dog with so much compassion and were so patient with him. I was very anxious about the appointment knowing how difficult my dog is at the vet and they’d have to get in his face but they were amazing and got done what they had to do without man handling him… slow, patient and caring.
