AM/PM Urgent Care with Englewood Health at Allendale

I went here for the first time with my elderly mother. I highly recommend this urgent care. The place was spotless, no wait, and most importantly the staff was incredible. My mother is not very mobile and has virtually no stamina. They jumped through hoops to try to get her in & out quickly. When we had to come back a few days later, they even came out to the car to assess her so she didn’t have to try and navigate the waiting room again. Above and Beyond!! Thank you Lidia and Mazal — you were so compassionate and helpful.

Very disappointed with AM/PM Walk-In Urgent Care. Before driving there, we called to confirm whether they had an X-ray technician on site, since we needed to rule out a possible shoulder fracture for a 77-year-old patient. We were told yes. When we arrived, we asked again and were again told yes. Shortly after, Dr. Michelle Bertke briefly examined the shoulder in the waiting area and said the shoulder appeared to be broken and recommended going to the emergency room. We explained that we would prefer to first have an X-ray done to confirm whether there was a fracture. We also asked whether the patient could receive something for pain, since the patient was clearly very uncomfortable. At first we were told that no pain medication was available. The clinic is clean. Spacious waiting area, I had a cough and it was mind easing to have space from others. The booking and check in were easy. I waited a little but once I was called I was in and out within 20 minutes. Dr. McNeal was very attentive and addressed my history and ailments well. The nurse was very nice and did everything quickly and shared the information of my vitals which I appreciate. This is my fourth visit there over three years and always a great experience.

The wait to see a nurse was long even though there were only 2 other persons in the waiting room, but that wasn’t unusual. What was odd was the hour long wait to see the doctor after that. It seemed that persons who arrived after me saw the doctor before I did. Also, the nurse did not have a plan to get a baby to cooperate with giving vitals. Other nurses we’ve encountered were masterful at that kind of thing. The front desk person announced that I had a copay to the room. I don’t recall her doing the same for anyone else there, Those were the negatives. The doctor got right to the point of the visit, alleviated concerns and apologized for the wait.

We had a wonderful experience here today. My son has health anxiety and the entire staff was incredibly patient, calm, and reassuring with him. From the moment we walked in, they took the time to explain everything, never rushed him, and made sure he felt safe and heard. It made a stressful situation so much easier for both of us. I’m truly grateful for the kindness and professionalism we experienced.
