AMG Specialty Hospital - Oklahoma City

This facility is absolutely terrible. Communication between the medical staff and the patients family is absolutely terrible and concerning. Their primary care could not see anything in the EMR. Nothing was communicated at all. Our family was left out of the dark for days until we demanded answers and treatment. Majority of our answers were not answered properly, we got “I don’t know.” Loved one was in there to recover short term before coming home. Ending up declining so fast to where we thought we were going to be planning a funeral soon. Didn’t give our loved one any nutritional replacements for almost a week. They got very malnourished. They do not perform hourly rounding’s with their patients. Therefore, bed sores happened. They also do not do slip knots when they tie patients to the

I appreciate everything this hospital has done for my brother. They successfully got him off the ventilator and were able to remove the tracheotomy. Successfully navigated through his insurance appeal to get him moved to a swing bed hospital for continued treatment and physical therapy to hopefully be able to get back home. Couldn’t have done this without all the staff of AMG specialty hospital. Thanks again for all your help and support. May God Bless you all for what you do in healthcare. My dad spent over 2 weeks in AMG. We received some fantastic advice from the nursing staff, and the physician who tended to dad and his medical needs was great about addressing all issues and getting him paired up with the appropriate physicians. Everyone was so friendly. The weekly calls with the medical team were extremely helpful! The response time when patients ring for help isn't always quick. Many times, the wait would be upwards of 30 minutes. The PT staff are great to work with! We really do appreciate everyone at AMG for all their help.

My good friend spent over 3 weeks at AMG to recover from a series of rather complicated abdominal surgery. The recovery journey was really stressful since my friend had complications and was limited to only ice chips. The nurses, case manager, and doctors were especially understanding, patient, and exceptional in taking care of my friend while he was there. They have an exceptional wound care team who handled my friend's wound with great care. Miraculously, the team got my friend's wound down to a manageable condition for him to transition to another facility. Some things I thought they did really great for a small facility. 1. My dad received the utmost care from AMG for around 4 weeks. Honestly, it was tremendous care and great communication. Between the weekly call meetings with the case manager and his team, the doctors, the nurses, I felt like we always knew what the next step was. Dad made a recovery to the point he is now at home doing his favorite things - spoiling his Chihuahua Gigi, and having coffee with the guys. Can't speak higher praise for this hospital.
