Amelia Medical Care

Nurse Practitioner Johnson has been my primary care provider since moving to Folkston over a year ago. She is an incredible practitioner, and I have grown to trust her advise. Unfortunately, the front of the house is the problem. I have been stuck waiting for hours when I scheduled a primary care appointment. Additionally, the new front desk person has the personality of I do not care about your problem. Today, I canceled my appointment because I left my wallet at home, and he refused to bill me the $30 deductible.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are severely understaffed and very inefficient. I had a 2:30 PM primary care appointment and was not seen until 3:45. I was told to come back the following morning at 8 AM to get bloodwork done, waited over an hour, and still was not seen for a simple 5 min procedure. If you have to miss work to go to this doctor, look elsewhere. They are a complete waste of time. They are also impossible to get ahold of on the phone. If you do manage to get ahold of them, you will be greeted by a sassy little tinker bell who has no interest in assisting you. I have now wasted $100 and three hours of my time all for nothing. Do better!

I had the pleasure of being cared for by Kristy Gowen, NP, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment we met, her kindness and professionalism were evident. She took the time to thoroughly answer all our questions with remarkable patience and expertise. Kristy went above and beyond, ensuring that both my father and I had everything we needed to start feeling better. Her dedication to her patients truly stands out. Thank you, Kristy, for making such a positive difference in our lives and health!

I have used them for the last several years and they have always been great. There is a wait at times but it is worth it. They make you feel like family and are very thorough. I appreciate the care they have given me through the years. Angie diagnosed me with something I had suffered with for years prior to seeing her and she kept running tests until she got answers. It was such a relief to finally get an answer as to what I had been suffering with and having to see multiple doctors with no real answer. She referred me to the correct specialist and I feel the best I have in years.

Kristy Gowen is hands down the kindest and most sincere NP I've ever met! She was knowledgeable and kept me informed of everything pertaining to my visit! Her smile is infectious! If you need medical care, I highly recommend Amelia Medical!!!
