Allen County Regional Hospital

I was in recently for an outpatient procedure. The nursing staff, anesthesia, and Doctor Allen were amazing. I was certainly nervous going in to my procedure and they were both compassionate and very understanding. The nurse that initially started my IV became flustered after messing up the first time, causing me to be stuck 2 more times. Fortunately, Nurse Biggs came to the rescue and got the job done. Overall, my experience was great considering the circumstances.

I was seen this morning by Dr. Donnawell for my aggressive GI symptoms. I felt heard and well cared for by her and the nurses on that shift. They helped me feel better and on the road to recovery! and made sure I was fully okay before leaving. My hospital room was very clean and had so much space. All the equipment, computers, the hospital room and lobby, the bathroom, everything just felt clean here. I appreciate the care, and I feel back to myself!

I have never been treated so horrible by medical staff as I was the past two different times I have been here. I went to the ER two different times within two days. I've had severe head pain on going off and on for five days now. Last night, I came in for a suspected seizure. I was trying to explain my symptoms fully, but was not fully coherent compared to how I am normally. The doctor kept gaslighting me, and told me you can only have seizures if you're unconscious, which is absolutely incorrect. There are many types of seizures. My blood pressure was way lower and got higher once than my normal, and I felt dizzy along with severe head pain. This doctor also was implying I was lying, and was flat out arguing with me. Will never be going to this hospital again! Took my husband there this morning as he was having signs/symptoms of a heart attack. They got him in and did some tests, didn’t even talk to us about the results. Came in after 4 hours and said “There’s nothing wrong with you, you can go home.” Even though my husband’s blood pressure was high as well as his pulse. They sat there and even said he could go back to work tomorrow as he was leaning over in the bed in excruciating pain (he is one of those whose pain tolerance is so high that if he is willing to go to the hospital you know something is wrong). I tried politely asking if they could extend his note for work to where he could have a couple of days of rest and the doctor cut me off and said “No, I’m writing his note to say he can go back

Nurses put a catheter to start an iv but a syringe to draw blood, which was super messy and made my husband pass out. He has never passed out before at the sight of blood, and he's seen horrible accidents since he normally works by highways. They laughed and said he was the second one to pass out. I don't know if that's their goal or some game, but they were just like, "Yeah. Sure ok. " They never really showed that they cared at all. Would never come here again. I would rather we drive a whole hour and a half to the city. The only good thing was the receptionist. Lovely lady. Other than that, I rather risk dying
