I’ve been a patient of Dr. Williams for some years but during the last three cleaning appointments I have had with him, my experience has become increasingly disappointing — to the point that I walked out today due to how I was treated. A year and a half ago, I made it clear that I did not want fluoride used during my cleanings. During my first visit, when I expressed this, Dr. Williams responded with a dismissive, “Oh well, that means less work for me,” and I could see he was visibly annoyed. Despite this, I returned for a second visit, where I again specifically asked to avoid fluoride. A staff member told me they only use fluoride if the patient requests it, which I appreciated. Williams missed Class when they taught ethics in Dentist Medical School. He doesn’t discuss with you your treatment options, he tells you what he demands and if you don’t want to do the procedure he talks to you either through his staff or himself with no consideration for the patient. He recommended for me to get a second opinion, I got two, whom both disagreed with his Diagnosis. Thank goodness he did that because I found a much better dentist then he will ever be! I do not recommend this dentist!

Dr. Williams has been my families dentist for over 20 years. He has treated myself, my wife and both of my kids (now 25, & 30). He is a very "no nonsense", "lets take care of what needs to be done", kind of dentist. My wife NEVER misses a cleaning. Me on the other hand......... I have gone 5 years between cleanings! Naturally, Dr. Williams gives me a hard time when I have done this. I personally had some bad dental experiences when I was a kid, so I have been VERY nervous about sitting in that dentist chair. One thing that I really like and appreciate about Dr. Williams is that when a filling, or other painful work is needed he gives the most pain-free "shots" of Novocaine that I have ever had. I have gone to see Dr Williams way back in the year of 2000. His staff is outstanding and Patti his receptionist is outstanding. Dr Williams was my dentist for years. I have since moved out of the area and now living in Arkansas. I called his office today Sept 13th 2022 because I had a question to ask them about one of the crowns that he did for me. Guess what Patti answered the phone and it brought old memories back from when I went there over 22 yrs. ago. I asked Patti about my crown and she still had my chart and she answered all my questions. Doctor Williams and staff are exceptional. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I find this office very pleasant, no nonsense and extremely honest. So many dental practices have become profit driven, high pressure sales offices. You know the type, the dental techs all have headsets, taking appointments while you lay there open mouthed, they fill you full of BS and in the end try and up sell you on treatments that you really do not need. Not so with Alderman Dental. This is a simple practice, Patty at the Front desk and Dr. Williams and his assistant. You are not treated like a money making commodity. Dr. Williams is super gentle and shows genuine concern for your oral health. I appreciate that he is all business and no nonsense, he doesn’t sugar coat and tells you how it is.
