Alaris Health at St. Mary's

I enjoyed my time here with the staff and the therapy department. It's not a bad place overall I say it's a pretty decent place. Very clean!! Environment services is excellent!!. The nurses are very good at what they do and the 3 months that I was here , was comfortable. Thank you for helping me heal. Bianca is the best!! Very helpful with everything .

My dad recently stayed at Alaris Health at St. Mary’s after knee surgery and I have to say the care was excellent. He came in with a lot of pain and anxiety about rehab and the team on the 5th floor treated him with respect patience and professionalism from day one. One of the first people we met was CNA Joan She immediately introduced herself and made my dad feel comfortable which meant a lot to us The nurses were very attentive and stayed on top of his pain management which was our biggest concern The doctors and therapy team also did their job well and explained everything so we knew what to expect Everyone who touched his care really showed up and took pride in their work. Is the building older? Yes Could the rooms look more modern? Sure. They even mentioned they’re working on improv

Although I would love to leave a 5 star review about St Mary's because of the wonderful care my family member has received, I just can't. An individual has left a very bad taste in my mouth. There was a slight issue that I needed to address with DON Andrea and I never got a chance to. I went to her office after heading down behind her. She closed her door and I knocked and I knocked and she just ignored me. I waited about 20 mins by her door before I finally went back to my loved ones room. Maybe it was a good thing I didn't get to speak with her. For someone as pretty and polished looking, she is very a nasty person. If I can get this place 0 stars, I would but this place needs be shut down and should not be allowed to care for human beings. My grandfather was admitted on January 1st for a diabetic toe wound infection, and what followed was pure medical neglect. He was left in severe, unbearable pain for nearly a week without proper medication or treatment. As a diabetic patient with an active infection, this is not just careless, it’s dangerous. His condition deteriorated so badly that he had to be taken to the ER because this facility failed to do its job. This facility is severely understaffed, especially with nurses, and it SHOWS. Patients are left waiting, ignored, and forgotten. It became painfully clear that patients who do not have family visiting constantly are treated last or not at all. If

I just want to take the time to wish everyone at Alaris at St. Mary’s a Happy Holiday and Happy New Year! I also want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my brother. When my brother first came here he had a really bad wound on his foot. I honestly thought I was going to lose him. Before coming here, he was at another nursing home for about six weeks and nothing was getting better, he ended up back in the hospital. When this facility was mentioned to us, I was very hesitant as I had heard bad things in the past and I indicated that that we weren't interested in sending him there. But the social worker at UMDNJ explained that there was new management and that they had been sending patients here with good results. I still wasn’t sure so I asked around i
