Akanksha Sojitra

Akanksha is an amazing physical therapist! I have only seen her for about 5 months, yet I have seen a significant reduction in pain. She is a thorough and knowledgeable physical therapist. During my first appointment Akanksha was able to determine the cause of my pain and find strategies to mitigate it almost immediately. She was also able to recommend helpful aids during periods of greater stress.

I've been working with Akanksha for several months on my lower back L5/S1 bulged disc issue and I highly recommend her. She took the time to assess not only my lower back but my entire body posture. She focuses on strengthening not just the affected area but also surrounding muscles, addressing imbalances and improving posture and mobility. She tailors each session to my specific needs and progress. She doesn't just prescribes exercises but explains the rationale behind each movement and its impact on my body. My lower back improved tremendously since I started seeing her. I'm able to enjoy activities I thought I'd have to give up.

I consider myself lucky to have found akanksha. After 9 months of PT that was only providing marginal results, I got connected with her, and she helped me identify the root cause. She then gave me the exercises and support needed to recover from an unusual back/nerve injury. Couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Akanksha has extensive experience in chronic pain management especially in areas of occupational therapy including TMJ, Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis, Carpal Tunnel, De Quervain, spinal nerve pinches and many many more! I worked with her to relieve a lot of the nerve, and muscle issues. She was spot-on and the first to diagnose Hypermobility Syndrome Disorder which is less heard of and made a lot of sense given the strange interconnection of my symptoms postpartum. She’s been caring and professional, would highly recommend working with her!
