AFC Urgent Care - West University

Diana (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was absolutely amazing at the front desk she was so kind, welcoming, and professional! I came in with a severe migraine and a sore throat, and from the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel comfortable and well cared for. This was my first visit to AFC Urgent Care, and the entire staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and compassionate. I was especially impressed by how quickly and efficiently the team responded when another patient required immediate medical attention—they did not hesitate and brought him back right away. Everyone involved in my care was outstanding. If I ever need urgent care again, this will absolutely be my go-to location. I would highly recommend this facility.

From the time I walked in I knew I was at the right place. I’m here in Houston working on a construction project, not knowing what urgent care I should go to. The young lady at the window noticed I was having trouble checking in and offered to help me. After that I knew I was in good hands. Which turned out to be true, the nurse and the doctor took good care of me. I’m in my hotel room right now taking my medications and feeling a lot better!!  I would definitely recommend this urgent care facility!😊

I feel that Jessica (the provider who saw me. I believe that is her name) is not patient-centered. I asked her if she would prescribe antibiotics because we both felt that the results from the throat swabs for strep and Covid may not be accurate because it was too soon since the onset of my symptoms. She refused and then abruptly said she was discharging me and left the room. She did not discuss prescribing anything for my symptoms, such as cough medication, and did not consider other infections such as Moraxella or hand, foot and mouth. Since I take care of my 2-year-old grandson, I could have been exposed to some of these infections by him. She did not give me any healthcare advice. She did not talk to me about anything except why she was opposed to prescribing antibiotics. I paid

I had to get my ear checked after work today. They could see me at 3:30. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the lovely receptionist, and signed in. James was the young man who did the check in once I was in a room. He was very nice and professional. Jessica was the healthcare professional who saw me. She was also very nice, professional, and thorough. The place was clean and organized. The on line appointment process was easy. I would definitely go back!

Made appointment online, filled out all the information as requested. Get there and the first thing they do is charge me, then waiting there and they telling me that there’s three people ahead of me when there is only one on the online system. Unreliable and didn’t set the right expectations on time. Took a refund and walked out, already feel better!
