AFC Urgent Care North Waltham

The AFC location in North Waltham is open until 8pm. We arrived at 7pm for my 3 year old's broken bleeding pinky. It was empty, so we were checked in and seen quickly by a kind nurse. The specialist that came in afterwards mentioned that he's not sure how to handle this case, and is not permitted to do or suggest anything without a supervisor - as the child is under 5 years of age. He suggested that we may need an X-Ray (which they don't have at that location) and assured us that the AFC location that does have it (on Main St) is only 10 minutes away - so we have plenty of time to get there if needed. I've gone here a number of times when we can't get in to see our pediatrician same-day. Despite the fact that this is not a pediatric urgent care, they have typically been good with my kids. At our most recent visit, Reinaldo and Kate went above and beyond. My preschooler had a particularly challenging visit (read: sick kid having an epic meltdown), and I was beyond impressed with the patience, creativity, and dedication of the staff. Reinaldo (I think an MA?) was unbelievably patient and flexible with us while we tried a zillion things to coax my kid into a nose/throat swab, and I am so grateful for the time and effort he put into her care. I went in today with an ear infection, a complication from influenza, and was so impressed by this center. There was virtually no wait when I arrived for my scheduled time and I was in and out of the office within less than 20 minutes. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

We got in and out pretty fast and they were able to do my daughter and I at the same time so thank you for that! Just didn't appreciate being asked if I was in Menopause by the medical assistant when I'm not even in Peri menopause and I had my 2 kids with me. That wasn't necessary maybe they need to train on bedside manner a bit. It was giving inexperienced.
