I was introduced to Dr Chang when I experienced an emergency with a sudden retina issue. He rearranged his schedule to perform surgery on me as quickly as possible, including communicating directly with me. He subsequently helped me through other follow up and related issues and I now see better than I have since I was a teenager. Throughout he’s been compassionate and clear in communicating with me about all aspects of my condition and his recommended treatment. His office is also well run and professional and he truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone and I’m grateful for his help and expertise.

Very able technicians help with basic testing and examination intake prior to Dr. Chang’s exam. I had the very good fortune to be referred to Dr. Chang and to have him first do an epiretinal peel at Mass Eye and Ear to improve my scarred macula and then to have lens implants done for both my eyes: a (near-midrange-distance) lens in one eye performed at Mass Eye and Ear, and a (midrange-distance) lens in the eye that had the damaged macula, performed at the surgical unit downstairs from his Waltham office. All surgeries went well, and I love being free of eyeglasses. Dr. Chang is an excellent surgeon, perfectly installing both my lenses. He is thorough and patient, and explains things completely.
