AFC Urgent Care Newtown

Though I pre-scheduled an appointment time it still took an hour for me to be seen. The front desk clerk seemed bored and disinterested to what was going on around her. The process once I was in an examining room was slow. X-rays were ordered…waiting, waiting…completed…and then waiting for the results took a while. I suppose this is a better alternative than going to an ER and waiting probably much longer. The best part was the nurse/technician who took my vitals and did the x-rays. Super positive, lovely woman!

Nurses were kind and helpful, but Dr Wilson and my overall experience was the worst medical experience I've ever had. The doctor's demeanor and questions felt uncomfortable - he even sat on the end of the patient bed to talk to me (it was off-putting to both me and to my boyfriend who was in the room - I assume because it was a female reproductive system issue), so much so that I didn't even ask certain follow ups that I wanted to. I waited 5 days for results of a swab to see if I had an infection still, and I was told I would receive in 1-2 days only to see that the results said they could not perform the test because the physician had NOT REQUESTED THE TEST. I called them, was told I would get a call back that day, got a call the next day saying it had been too long so I needed to go bac

I was incredibly ill when I walked into Newtown urgent care, rocking back-and-forth in my chair and after hours of horrible gastrointestinal issues. The lovely girl at the front desk whose name I do not know, offered me an ice pack for my neck and in hindsight that was very thoughtful and helpful. If I had felt better at the time, I would’ve thanked her. I did not wait very long and she was polite enough to offer me to sit near the bathroom, gave me a barf bag, and kept me abreast of how long it would take for me to be seen. I do wish that urgent care would have IV but aside from that it was a good visit. The girl who said the front desk has been on my mind ever since my visit and if she reads this, I want her to know that I really appreciate it.

Very good service. Had no waiting time. Assistant was very warm and nice. She explained everything well and did her tasks very professionally. Doctor was very friendly, did a thorough exam, reviewed my medications, explained my conditions and prescribed good medications. He took his time and answered all my questions. I felt very confident in his care. I would highly recommend this office for urgent medical care needs.

My visit to this urgent care (Newtown PA) was a mixed experience overall.Starting with the reception, the front desk staff could use some improvement in terms of attentiveness and friendliness. The receptionist seemed largely occupied on the phone and was not proactive in assisting patients — help was only offered when directly asked. A little warmth and initiative would go a long way in making patients feel welcomed and at ease, especially when they're not feeling well. The wait times were also a significant concern. Despite the clinic not being particularly busy, I waited nearly an hour just to be called inside, followed by another hour before seeing a doctor.
