AFC Urgent Care New Providence

My second time to AFC Urgent Care and highly recommend if you need urgent care. Staff has always been so friendly and helpful. I’ve never waited more than 5-10 minutes and the care providers are never rushing me out. They ask lots of questions and are happy to discuss the situation. The facility is clean and modern. There is typical parking within a very short walk if not right in front. My go to urgent care, A+++

Very thorough and kind treatment here at American Family Care Urgent Care in downtown New Providence, New Jersey. I received a quick and comprehensive assessment of my health situation and was presented with documentation to help guide my next steps in addressing my concerns. Very clean and spacious environment with ample parking adjacent. Open late hours - I’m leaving just before 7 PM on a Friday evening and they’re actually open until 8 PM! Highly recommend.

The front desk person was welcoming and effecient. And the Dr., whom I had seen previously, was professional, thorough, and communicated clearly re my issue and treatment. I felt like he cared about understanding my symptoms and creating a positive outcome for me. Highly recommended.

Jeffrey is the absolute best! He is truly the nicest, most patient doctor/PA I've ever met. He listens to everything you have to say and answers every question thoroughly. He never makes you feel rushed or minimizes your issue. Even when it's busy, you'd think you're his only patient of the day. I always leave there feeling confident in the prescribed course of treatment and clear about what to do and how to follow up. This kind of care is exceedingly rare these days, and he's the only one I know who still offers it. (I should add that we've had 3-4 different nurses/techs check us at our different visits, and they're always excellent with my daughter. Much appreciated!)

We have been going to this provider since they opened and have previously recommended them to a lot of people. Unfortunately though we will no longer feel comfortable coming here. On one visit, my tests were sent to a lab which had the results interpreted by an out of network provider and they are now chasing me to pay $1000 for a basic nasal swab. I can no longer recommend them.
