AFC Urgent Care Lakewood

so I have to update my review on this facility. at first I thought it was extremely cool. I got there. I received attention pretty friendly and pretty fast. please note to the words pretty fast. as I was in and out and the female doctor who was supposed to help me, basically told me I was okay. I had a viral infection yet didn't give me anything for it. told me I needed to go home and get some rest and put some gel in my nose. I don't see how gel in my nose was going to help. and actually it didn't. it made things worse. I ended up with an infection and I had to go see a whole different doctor. the onboarding staff such as the receptionist, and the nurse who brought me into the back very awesome people. however, I was there maybe 45 minutes, and once I was in it was like they couldn't get

AFC Urgent Care in Lakewood was fabulous! Kiki was awesome when I was checking in, the nurse was delightful and professional (altho i didnt catch her name). And I just adored the PA Colleen Wuellner (not in a weird way). She was kind, thorough, took into account conflicting medications, and was just a genuine person! The waiting area was nice and clean as were the exam rooms. There was even a little room for the kiddos to play or watch tv! I would recommend you go here! Thank you for caring for and about ME!

First time at this urgent care and I had great experiences. I originally booked to check in at 9:10am but was antsy and just wanted to be seen and get it over with. I called to check if I was able to just head on in, and was told I could. Upon arriving arouns 8:30am, the lobby was pretty much empty. The receptionist greeted me and I was checked in. I only waited about 5 mins before being taken back. The girl seemed rushed, but she was friendly over all, and communicated well. After taking my vitals, I waited for maybe another 10 mins before being seen for my issue and that lady was friendly, caring, thorough, and also communicated well. All in all, from arival to the time I headed out to leave, it took 30 minutes. Keep in mind, though, that they weren't busy just yet and I'm fairly certain

The staff were very friendly and accommodating here! Dr. Gillett was fantastic. He performed several tests to ensure my wife did not have a concussion and asked questions to understand the root cause of her fall. He did a wonderful job explaining each test and the things he was looking for. We walked away relieved and appreciative that he was so patient and willing to spend extra time with us, especially in today's climate where doctors try to minimize time with patients.

The receptionist lacked empathy and couldn’t care less about my concerns of having a very hard time breathing. She was not friendly and overall cold. When I asked her how long the wait would be, she said “about 30 minutes” and then I asked if there was any way to be seen quicker (there was no one in the waiting room) because I was having a hard time breathing. She just looked at me and shrugged. Went back to what she was doing. In a medical environment, you’re bedside manner (even as the receptionist) makes or breaks how comfortable the patient feels. Additionally, when I entered the room, the physicians assistant was also quick to just swab me for the obvious culprits instead of listening to my symptoms.
