A Rare Gem in the Bronx! Do not be deceived by the external view or location (bus stop) of this urgent care, it is incredible. All you need is to step into this UC and you will duff your cap! I visited this UC because of pain in my throat, dizziness and nausea feeling. I googled UC near me and this came up. For personal reasons I always preferred places a bit away from the Bronx but my last experience at one UC in Pelham Manor left me in doubt. The review for this particular AFC location was very good and they also opened at 8am, so i went and was not disappointed. My perception of "can anything good come of of Israel" was knocked out! We had an excellent experience at AFC Urgent Care Bronx located at 3400 Boston Road, Bronx, NY 10469, and I’m truly grateful for the care my daughter received. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff member (a gentleman) was wonderful , welcoming, kind, and efficient. Check-in was smooth and stress-free. Next, the medical assistant was excellent. She took my daughter’s vitals and performed the throat test with patience, professionalism, and genuine kindness, helping her feel calm and at ease. Then Sydney Malimpenet, NP, came in and he was absolutely wonderful. He listened carefully, explained everything clearly, and showed real compassion. My mom was having an allergic reaction to something she ate. She woke up and her entire face was swollen and lumpy and her neck was rashy. I went online to schedule and we arrived at 8:00 am when the doors opened. We were taken in after a short wait and seen right away. She was diagnosed and prescriptions sent in to the pharmacy. The process was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this provider.
