Thanks you Good Sam hospital for your above-and-beyond dedication to your patients. We appreciate the kindness of all: admin staff, nurses and doctors. You helped my Dad with an urgent heart surgery, which was a success thanks to Doctors Lara Bakhos and Juan Bonilla. We cannot express how grateful we are to have professionals like you saving lives every day!

Outstanding Care and Compassion – Truly Grateful I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the exceptional medical team at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL, specifically Dr. Naik (Interventional Cardiology) and Dr. Lulla (Podiatry), for the outstanding care they provided to my mother during a very stressful and critical time for our family. Dr. Naik demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, clarity, and expertise. He took the time to create a detailed artery map and patiently explained the condition, procedures, and next steps in a way that was easy to understand. His transparency and willingness to educate me as a family member gave us confidence and peace of mind during a difficult situation. Dr. Lulla went above and beyond with genuine concern f

This is a very difficult review to write, but after five weeks in this hospital, I feel a responsibility to share our experience so other families are better prepared than we were. I want to be clear upfront: many of the nurses were wonderful. Kind, patient, and compassionate, often going out of their way to care for my grandmother and for us. Our concerns are not about bedside nursing care. Our experience was deeply affected by systemic disorganization, poor communication, and a lack of clear, consistent information, particularly for an elderly patient undergoing neurosurgery. One of the most painful failures happened before the surgery even began. Our family was never clearly told when my grandmother’s surgery was scheduled. We were informed only when it was already happening. We late

I’ve been to this hospital 3 times now for various issues, the first two times I felt like I received great care. I went last night as I had a 104 fever, was throwing up blood, and was so weak that I could barely stand on my own. I was desperate for help because I was in excruciating pain. I was left in a room and completely ignored for over an hour. When the doctor finally came in, she did not offer any treatment or anything to me- in fact, when I told her I had severe pain, her response was “I’m not giving you opioids”. I never asked for opioids, I did not expect opioids, I would not consent to them even if offered. She refused to do any tests to figure out the reason for the blood in my vomit. I had to beg them to do at least something for me. They released me and did not offer to help

Nurses are fantastic. The doctor has been great too but some of the hospital and phone staff that I was working with left lots to be desired. Starting from not believing me during admission that my leg was basically mangled and telling me to step on it, to berating me right before surgery that I didn’t have an ID on me. The person who had me sign authorizations for surgery seemed SOOOOO annoyed with me for wanting to read the whole document. Thanks to insurance companies, the hospital kicks you out as quickly as possible. I was not ready to be home on my own. Which brings me to my first day home - the phone system staff had me on hold for hours, once I finally got someone, they asked me to drive 20 miles to Aurora if I wanted to have my meds reevaluated and then hung up on me while I was h
