Advocate

Been going here often for about 2 years. Im not gonna lie the first few times were rough and unpleasant, to the point where I almost got up and walked out due to poor service to myself a patient. However, The past 15 or so times Ive been here were wonderful. I think this location is majorly improving, The nurses seem well qualified, The front desk receptionists are no longer screaming at you or angry, no more long waits, etc. I know this should all be taken for granted and expected, however, today I called at 11 AM and schedule blood work for 3 PM, and I was out of there at 3:05. anyways, I definitely have seen great improvements from this establishment.

I was late to my Son's Doctor's appointment 5 minutes. We check in, as we were waiting in the waiting area, 20 minutes after receptionist approaches us to say we're not going to see your son because, you were late. I could of have been told from the beginning ,before telling me to have a seat. Dr ARKEEMA it was nice to meet you, you we're a good Doctor to my son but it's time to change Doctor's, not coming back here again ..

I also was refused care with an appointment for an abdominal exam after testing negative for Covid-19 in 2021 and had both baseline vaccines. I was told Doctors do not see sick people 😒. Really, than what do they do? I was asked if I was sure my visit was in person and not teladoc.. Yes, I am certain.. it an abdominal exam, can't be done over the computer. The person who scheduled me was aware of my symptoms, one was a possible Covid-19 symptom, and I was just tested negative when treated for strep! I got worse and spiked a high fever after being treated for strep and still on antibiotics. I was told to walk over to urgent care area. They just turned away patients because they were at capacity. If no stars was an option, I would pick that. I have had nothing but problems with this office. Do not go here. I have had experiences with several very rude front desk staff members. They did not bother to switch my insurances in the system when I had a change of insurance, but instead elected to repeatedly send my bills because - of course- the insurance company kicked the bill back because Advocate billed incorrectly. I've not been deal with cleaning up their billing mistake for over 6 months. It take WEEKs and several calls to get a specialist referrals. It’s almost impossible to get an appointment with a doctor here so I normally rely on urgent care. Under the direction of an office staff member I messaged in the AdvocateAurora LiveWell portal, I made an appointment a few weeks ago for today to inquire about a cannabis card for sciatica pain and severe IBS. I also messaged about blood pressure concerns and was told to bring in my blood pressure monitor and log. Now, a couple of weeks ago, I also had strep. I went to urgent care and was directed to see my PCP if I wasn’t feeling better after finishing my antibiotics.
