Advocare Endocrinology Associates of Princeton (Sonoo Advani, MD).

Office staff was attentive and helpful. However Dr. Advani refused to hear my case, answer my questions or have a calm conversation and showed zero intellectual or clinical curiousity as to my complex history or current situation and proceeded to pass uninformed and unprofessional judgement on my current care and providers. I was rushed out the door and refunded and given referrals to other doctors despite my trying to communicate that I am already under the care of doctors with the same expertise and they recommended seeing an endocrinologist. A quote on the marker board in the exam room read "Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also a love of Humanity". I experienced neither the art of medicine nor love of humanity and I sincerely hope my experience was an aberration.

Dr. Advani is a very caring physician. She takes time to listen carefully, and she reviews labs carefully. She explains problems and ways to treat these problems. Over the many years that I have seen her, she has been a great source of excellent referrals, when necessary. Her office is clean and her staff are courteous and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Advani without reservations.

I've been going to Dr. Sonoo Advani of Advocare Endocrinology Associates of Princeton for years. She's been great at helping me manage my health/thyroid levels - with a reasonable amount of visits a year. She's professional and personal, and doesn't hesitate to offer advice on other related aspects of my health.

If you’re looking for a new endocrinologist, save your time. Dr. Advani is about as bad as any doctor I’ve ever seen. There are two things that led me to this conclusion. First, she is totally dismissive (literally flailing her arms) of the treatment protocol of other doctors and did not have the interest or take the time to try to understand how their decisions were made after trying different approaches over a period of years. Also, while It’s rude and unpleasant when someone constantly cuts you off, it’s an entirely different thing when it’s a doctor and they don’t let you finish telling them the dosages of various medicines reflected in the blood test she is looking at.

First of all, Dr. Advani is a genius. Her knowledge and expertise in the world of endocrinology is second to none. Beyond that, she actually cares about me as a human being and wants the best for my overall health. She’s been my doctor for about 20 years. I hope she never retires :)
