Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center - Portland

I went in to have a follow up appointment at the cardiology department. It was a very informative, and engaging appointment. I found Rachel to be very knowledgeable, caring, and had exceptional people skills. She took the time to gather as much information from me as she could. She also allowed me to ask as many questions as I felt I needed to and didnt move on until I had a good understanding of what she was saying. Rachel explained things to me in a way I could understand them and didnt lose me in a bunch of medical language. Just like my recent hospital stay the staff here did an amazing job. I feel very good about the level of care I am receiving and am very grateful for Adventist and the way they all seem to genuinely care. I continue to be very impressed with Adventist, its doctors,

My appointments at Adventist always go so smoothly. I can do advance check-in on my phone, and when I arrive, the front desk confirms my info and then I wait maybe just a few minutes before I’m brought to an exam room and the nurse takes my vitals. A couple minutes later, my doctor or PA arrives and always spends unhurried time listening to me and any concerns, and make sure I have no remaining questions before wrapping up. Prescriptions are always handled smoothly - even when I needed to switch pharmacies. I’m always very pleased with my experience here.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Lauren Lee and everyone on staff. She was professional, patient, and thorough. Answered all of my questions with excellent bedside manner. Shout out to the friend at the appointment booking desk!

Once I found the pavillion entrance things got easier. The front desk personnel quickly greeted me and sent me in the right direction. The staff at the counter downstairs greeted me too. They commented on my great outfit tans I told them that I took extra effort today because I was stressed about this doctors appointment and wanted to put my best foot forward. The woman checking me in went a step further and got me a clipboard to match my jacket. Very thoughtful and made me feel seen. The doctor was wonderful and answered all my concerns and questions. At the check out they even helped me get in touch with a different OHSU doctor who I had been trying to make an appointment with for weeks but never heard back. Really great staff at the cardio center !!!

Extreme over billing. Got an ecco cardiogram, which is a cheap sonagrm, should be a few hundred. They tried to bill my insurance $4000. They never gave me an estimate. The insurance told them to kick rocks and would only pay $1200. My deductible was the same price if I had gone somewhere else and paid cash. Wow, thanks guys. They never gave me an estimate. They tried to defraud my insurance. They over charged for a cheap common procedure. This doesn't even get into the $700 for ONE visit with a doctor to tell me I didn't have an issue, then thank God my new team at Providence is taking seriously and under control. Look, I'm not a nutter, or unreasonable. Im a former instructor, business owner, and now engineer. I'm level headed. But I've also dealt with a lot of medical stuff by middle
