I hear that the staff and care are absolutely wonderful, but this place is the embodiment of the privatized healthcare bloat and greed that is bankrupting everybody who has the opportunity/misfortune of living in the US. Attached is a picture of a complety useless room divider that's nicer than my kitchen. There are probably hundreds of these on the premises. A hospital needs 5 things — beds, technology/equipment, cleanliness, supplies, and staff. It doesn't need to be a 5 star hotel. And you bet it's going to bill insurance like it is one.
My labor and delivery here is great. I was able to have a unmedicated hospital birth here. The nurses respected my birth wish as much as possible and didn’t push me to get medical interventions. All of the nurses helped me were amazing. Thank you! However, after the baby was born, she had low blood sugar. They said we had to feed her formula to get her blood sugar up. They didn’t give me a chance to breast feed my baby first to get her blood sugar up even though my milk was coming in already. We told them can we at least do hypoallergenic formula because our first child has a milk protein allergy. They ignored our concern. They fed her 15ml regular formula within an hour after birth. That is too much to give to a newborn who has a stomach size of a grape. Baby spit up and throw up milk 5
If you ever have to go to an ER and are close to this hospital, I definitely recommend them! I’ve had to go to the ER here a couple of times over the years (most recently within the last week for an injury) and every single time has been as comfortable and smooth going as possible given the circumstances. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and have excellent bedside manner. I’ve always felt like they take me and my symptoms seriously, which can be rare at other medical establishments for people like me who are plus sized, disabled, and/or have chronic pain. Whenever I need to go here, I really feel like I was in good hands, get the tests and treatment I need, and receive good instructions on follow-up care all in a timely manner.
I delivered my son here in 2025. The worst experience Ive had. I THOUGHT I was going to have a great experience due it being a smaller setting. My Doctor ordered me to be induced and they called and told me they had no room for me. The nurses were very unprofessional. Rude. The father of my child should have not known anything about my care as they were aware of my situation. They saw him make me cry, say mean things to me, I told the nurses what he was saying, yet did not intervene. They knew it was a high conflict situation. Told them that at the visit to the hospital. One nurse lied to me about my progression and my doctor stated " why did you lie to her" and when I got upset, she never came back to even apologize. The nurse that did my IV, stuck me 4 times, then when I mentioned it to
Awful experience the nurse we had was so rude I could have cried. My son had been brutally sick for a week, I took him to the ER for fluid because he would not eat or drink and I feared way more was coming out than going in and the nurse we had was so rude to me when I told him about my sons ADHD medication but that since being so sick I haven’t given it to him. He got straight up nasty with me about “daily medication” and even laughed at my sons when my son said “ oh my body is used to it” referring to him taking breaks from it during school holidays summer break etc under his doctors supervision. It was just really unfortunate because I had already had a long terrible week watching my son be so sick and feeling so helpless because I couldn’t make him feel better and that nurse was so rud
