I cannot say enough about Advent Health Altamonte Springs and the staff there. My day shift nurse, the day after my surgery, Ilianna, was amazing. She checked in on me all the time and did everything she could to keep me comfortable! She also finally brought me the iPad I was waiting for and it made all the difference for my stay. Tamyra, my morning tech was so sweet. She took me on a nice walk around the floor and made sure I was all set for my shower. She clean and made my bed up so perfect. She brought me the best cup of ice water ever! My night shift post op nurse, Jennifer was amazing. If felt like I knew her forever. She has my sister's name (inside joke). The dr herself was great. (I can not remember her name off hand, she was a hospitalist) Upon arrival, I had a scheduled Csection but actually went into labor the morning of. So I was actively contracting. Upon admission, the admitting nurse laid towels on ground and told me that the IV might get messy. I thought she was joking. After multiple failed attempts, she tried to force saline into a collapsed IV line and the charge nurse had to check it out to tell her it was collapsed. Someone else came in and started an IV instantly on the other arm which I later found out was infiltrated and I STILL have a massive bruise on my arm (mind you this was from OCT.) The anesthesiologist fought with me about if I could have a spinal or not (I have had two prior Csections and never had an issue) but he

I recently was admitted to Advent Hospital Altamonte through the Emergency Room. I was immediately processed and taken back to a bay. The admission process was quick and the attending staff were extremely cordial and caring. I had several tests and was eventually admitted. Everyone along the way was very considerate and kind. After 3 days, it was determined that I needed surgery. My Care team were awesome, seeing to my needs and answering all my questions. Using the Advent app was extremely helpful in keeping me informed of my test results along the way. I believe I received excellent care in a very kind and caring atmosphere. Doctors, RN and all other staffs were very supportive and resourceful. RNs were readily available whenever needed. Dr. Minerva was very pleasant to talk to. She was open to answering all clinical questions I had. I can’t recall name of all RNs took care of me- Tamara, Iliana, Casey, Susan, Kristin, Takeemah, Beth were very caring, kind and helpful. Only one concern I had was long wait for MRI. It was ordered Friday early morning and was not done until Saturday afternoon and report was not read until Sunday night. Infectious disease communicated with me Monday morning and I got discharged Monday afternoon. As I understood that they had only 1 machine running for inpatient and the other machine is mostly used for outpatient and had some technical issues. Anyways I enjoyed my stay in weekend

I went to The Baby Place at the Advent Health hospital in Altamonte and went to triage to check on my baby. We eventually needed an emergency c-section and everyone we interacted with from the triage team to the operating team and recovery team were all fantastic. They were supportive and communicated with my husband and I every step of the way. We felt very taken care of and knew we were in capable hands the whole time. The most impactful person for my husband and I though was Christi, our night nurse. She was our nurse both nights we were there and she was so helpful giving us support, advice and hands on experience to show us ways to calm our baby and help with gas and to soothe. We are first time parents so everything she did for us was so very helpful. We had to call the nursing stat
