Advanced Urgent Care | Kaiser Permenante Gaithersburg Medical Center

Switching from United Health Care to KP many years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As a 68 yr old, I’ve had to go to KP’s urgent care on many occasions over the years and I was always impressed by their care and the caring people who work there. I presume they take people in order of seriousness as best as they can and according to staffing levels. I’m very surprised by any less than stellar reviews. My experiences have always been really good.

The staff in the urgent care department who helped me were amazing. Did not wait more than 5 minutes and saw a doctor within 5min of going to my room. My nurse was so compassionate and kind I wish I got his name. People writing bad reviews saying it wasted their time probably were either impatient and happened to come at a busy time, or didn’t have an applicable reason to be coming to an urgent care in the first place

Waiting for Hours and hours. I asked the staff about the wait she said you have to wait more longer and you can leave if you want to but that’s how it will be. Zero responsibility. Receptionist is using her phone. Nurse is giving me option to leave. Wait time is next level. When my mom was in so much pain. I don’t know about Advance but they definitely don’t work like “URGENT”. I hope I don’t get a reply saying please email to so and so email instead of doing something about it.

This was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. My wife is pregnant and was in severe pain, yet we were forced to wait over two hours before a doctor saw her. I pleaded with the staff to help her sooner, but they showed no concern or compassion. Truly heartbreaking and disappointing from a place we trusted.

Service is awful. I was waiting there more than 2 hours and they didn’t check on me. But the persons who came after me. They all checked. When I go asked front desk someone called Venessa. She said that people who have chest pain gonna be check first. That doesn’t mean I don’t have any pain.. I have no idea how they compare the pain actually they have. Awful service and staff.
