I love AMA! I think that the providers are wonderful! I love my new PCP Dr Lo! She is so insightful and listens and asks me questions and does full exams on me to gives me a treatment plan of what we should do! I am forever thankful for her and the AMA family for being such a wonderful team

I've been trying to avoid doing this for years, but it's gotten to the point where I'd be doing the public a disservice by not leaving a 1-star review here. I just attempted to call today regarding my upcoming appointment, and the machine brought me in a circle 6 times. Finally I hit 0 and it connected me with an extremely condescending, rude operator saying no one was answering because you're closed today. It's MLK day, I understand, however it would have been great to put that on the machine rather than be spoken to that way. This is not the first time this has happened when talking to people from your offices. In fact, this happens every time without fail. It's extremely disappointing, and the exact opposite of the manner a DOCTOR'S office should be conducting when speaking with patient

To preface, this review pertains to Erin Maxfield DO specifically. However her employment at Acton Medical reflects badly on the practice as a whole. I would give negative stars if I could. Erin Maxfield is the least caring, least compassionate, and least professional doctor imaginable. My husband saw her at Acton Medical Associates where he succinctly explained to her multiple concerning symptoms he was experiencing. Her first words to him were "people like you are the reason I am running late. You can't come here with all of these problems." Clearly she treats patients like a number and not as a human. Poor communication systems I understand everybody is busy but I have beeen calling for TWO weeks to speak with a nurse regarding a follow up from being seen. I am on hold waiting to speak with a nurse for 30+ minutes at a time. I work too! I don’t have the time to sit and wait for you to answer! I send messages, I’m told to call. I call, I’m 10th in line to speak to somebody. Have not received a call back. This is absolutely unacceptable

*** At Acton Medical, you will get billed for your yearly physical even though it is supposed to be preventative care and 100% covered by insurance *** I am extremely disappointed with Acton Medical, I would give 0 stars if possible. For 3 years, I've come in for a yearly physical with the understanding that it is 100% covered by insurance. For 3 years, I've been unexpectedly billed for my visits because my doctor, Dr. Garg, and I talked about things that then categorized the visit as an "office visit" rather than the yearly physical. The issues we talked about during my visit were just some general questions I had in response to Dr. Garg asking if "I had any health concerns I wanted to talk about".
