My first time visiting this business on Forest Avenue. From the moment I walked in James at the front desk was so cordial and welcoming. Nicholas was so sweet and knowledgeable in explaining the total costs and the deductible impact affecting my copay. Then Karen was most efficient in explaining the process of the procedure. I didn't feel a thing when the numbing medication was injected into my great toe. She was the best. Dr. James Baldwin was phenomenal. (Sorry I did not get the name of the young lady that assisted him but thanks as well) . Dr. Baldwin put me at ease immediately when he walked in and introduced himself with an outstretched hand.( Most folks still don't shake hands since COVID). Had my first visit with Dr. Baldwin at the Forest Avenue location. Staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I had my nails trimmed, xrays and was provided information about shoes. Dr. Baldwin was approachable, down-to-earth while being very much about the task at hand. He heard my issues and concerns addressing them clearly. He laid out a clear plan of care including helpful tips and tools as well as a timeline for assessing my situation further. It's important to me that my doctor listens to me but more importantly that they HEAR me. I think Dr. Baldwin definitely fits that bill.
My son saw Dr. Baldwin for his toe, and the experience was absolutely amazing! From the front desk to the MAs and checkout staff, everyone was so kind, welcoming, and patient. My son hates needles and gets very anxious at doctor’s offices, but one sweet staff member calmly talked him through everything while the MA gave him the injection. The level of patience and compassion truly stood out. Dr. Baldwin was incredible he came in, shook my son’s hand, acknowledged him directly, and made him feel seen and heard. He validated his feelings, which meant so much. My son walked in scared and left feeling confident and not worried about his follow-up at all. Thank you to the entire team — you are rock stars
Highly recommend this practice. I was able to get an appointment very quickly. Dr. Baldwin made me feel at ease, comfortable, heard, and optimistic about the outcome instead of worrying that it would get messed up. Having their own imaging device makes things so much easier and quicker. All the staff were very helpful and kind. The entire office was very clean and nice-looking. I had to get an MRI, and I really needed it quickly. I tried scheduling one, and it would be weeks away. The staff, especially Kirby and Yang, went out of their way to help me get scheduled as quickly as possible. I see a lot of doctors, and Dr. Baldwin/the practice are one of my favorites now.
I am updating my review to share the full experience clearly, because it is important for other parents to be aware of how this clinic handles cost transparency and product dispensing. I took my 10-year-old daughter here for flat-foot concerns. The clinical exam itself was fine, but the business practice was very concerning. 1. The braces were put on my daughter without any cost disclosure or consent. The staff opened boxes and placed the braces on her feet while I was in the room. I assumed they were demonstrating how braces work. No one told me there would be any charge, let alone a $230 charge. 2. This was a cash-pay situation — no insurance discussion ever took place.
