I’m new to Cigna had to go through all of the pre-authorization all over again for a Specialty Pharmacy medication. They said my doctor was taking too long to answer the request so they canceled my order. It’s a good thing. This is not life saving heart medication…Not that they would care about that either. I don’t really know why I’m writing this complaint as I’m being held hostage and being forced to use this company.
They deserve zero or less. They are the worst specialty pharmacy I have ever dealt with They take so long more than three weeks to approve the PA and three weeks to process the prescription and same to order the medication They don’t care even if you missed a dose
My husband has MS and it is documented multiple times that he cannot take the generic form of a med that helps him walk because of the fillers. Every year we go through multiple hoops with Prior Authorizations to get it approved. It doesn't matter that he has 2 co pay assistance that help pay for it. It's not coming out of accredo's pocket. Not to mention they have 2 charts on him and tell me they can't get rid of 1 of them. So it gets really confusing. We'll this year they denied both the PA and the Appeal. So now he cannot get his med. Today I tried to get his records of all Conversations and they tell me that a patient cannot request their own records. They are a joke and need to close. They could care less about patients and what is best for them.
Accredo has been incredibly frustrating to work with. They've delayed my daughter's prescription twice now, and each time, we've been given a different reason for the delay. What's worse is that they don't proactively communicate about issues. Despite their promises to reach out, we only find out there's a problem when the prescription is almost due—leaving us scrambling to figure things out at the last minute. This lack of transparency and follow-through is unacceptable when dealing with essential medications. I would not recommend their services to anyone relying on timely and reliable care.
It's been a nightmare for 2 years. I considered stopping my medication because they are so hard to work with. Hours and hours of my life have been wasted on phones to get live-saving medication. I complained to benefits at my company, Cigna blamed my care provider which was completely wrong. My doctor did everything right and even called them multiple times. I have to blame Cigna for this situation. They force me to use Accredo so they can save money no regard for patient experience and customer service. They told me there is no other pharmacy I can use. What a monopoly and injustice of the healthcare system controlled by insurance companies.
