Accordius Health at Concord

I have a family member being cared for at this facility. The staff is amazing and my loved one has not been happier. His nurse was very nice and answered all of my concerns. The CNA was amazing I got to the facility about 10 am I requested a shower for my family member and I was told it was not his shower day however the CNA took him down immediately showered him got him dressed brought him back and came to check on him every 30 mins. My overall visit was very pleasing I would recommend this facility if you want the best care. They truely care for their patients.

My mom who has cognitive impairment ( dementia) been at this place 2yrs, and her care has been terrible. I can't count on my hands how many times, I've went there and had to care for my mom myself. I have pictures of clothing with feces in it, which was thrown in her laundry bag without being washes out.pictures of her bed with big dried up urine spots on it. Noone ask her if she needs help until they see a visitor helping her. Today the new administration Jim called me which I was called last week about my mom smoking in her room by a the nurse on her floor. Instead of them educating their pts on giving residents cigarettes that have cognitive issues, they want to banned her from smoking instead of supervision. On 4/16/24, I had a total knee replacement of my right knee. And through my experience last year of 6/08/23 having a total knee replacement of my left knee as an outpatient, I decided that my current 4/16 surgery would be as an inpatient status. I live alone. And last year’s left knee replacement post surgery outpatient care of me living by myself was an extremely difficult and draining time. But this time as an inpatient status not only staying a couple of nights in the surgery hospital, but then coming directly from LNRMC in Mooresville to Accordius Health Care of Concord has made a 1000% difference in my comfort, but also a quicker healing process. The staff here at AHCC are caring and compassionate and the Physical and Occupational Therapy programs are excellent. The facility is daily

This facility is under renovation and is aesthetically challenged but the care for my Mom has been outstanding! The staff is amazing and plenty of staffing for every unit. Their efforts during Covid were heroic and I appreciate Katie and Shawana always going the extra mile.

10/18/2021 - My father is in that place. I think it is the very worst place he’s in. They need to pay the staff more. The last time I saw my father his nail were long and stuff under them. I have asked for the Supervisor and Social Work there to call me. I have never gotten a call back going into the 3 months. We can’t go inside because of COVID-19. That l understand. They brought him outside with what appeared to be cigarette hole in his pant, he had sweater on that look to little. The shoes on like a street person. His hair was long. I asked them to get his clothes together so let can see what all he need. If the people in Administration are sorry what do the the other staff worker’s to do. The name of the place has 3 times since my father been there. I wonder why!
