Access Medical Center Urgent Care Edmond - N. Pennsylvania Ave

This isn’t the closest urgent care to me but I decided to go here because I went here years ago as a minor several times and had some unpleasant experiences at other urgent care centers near me the past few years. This is still the best urgent care I’ve been to. It seemed very clean and the staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful people. Waiting room is comfortable and wasn’t crowded- was able to sit away from others. I was in and out in just under 1.5 hours.

I am a single mom so it is very difficult for me to justify taking a day off work; I normally do not take off work unless I absolutely am required to do so, plus I am just plain stubborn as well. It could be serendipitous, but just about every time I am sick, I get the pleasure of seeing Certified Physician Assistant, Kyle Johnson. PA-C Kyle Johnson exhibits an effervescent disposition, and he is always kind and pleasant to converse with, and he genuinely cares about his patients. PA-C Kyle Johnson’s bedside manners are phenomenal and other medical professionals do not compare to his extraordinary ability to make someone laugh even when they are sick. I was nervous because I had read some bad reviews, but everything went great! The receptionist was very friendly and I was called back right on time and didn’t have a long wait. The doctor listened carefully to me and was very respectful. He was knowledgeable and I felt well taken care of. Kyle was his name. I would recommend to anyone looking for urgent care. I will use them from now on if I can’t get in to see my pcp.

Great facility to take any age. My toddler fell and hit head at daycare. I didn't want hours of waiting room in ER hospitals. Their staff from secretary, medical assistant, and doctor were concerned, calm, and informative. Thank you! For anyone who don't have health insurance. The facility do have a discount plan that initially cost $190 to come get medical attention. Later it's $125 per visit.

Receptionist not welcoming. No concern for patients, especially when they know you're in severe pain. Nurses assistant was very pleasant and professional. Dr. wasn't available only a nurse. I made an appointment for a specific time, but I had to wait. I was told the nurse had gone to pick up lunch. Maybe they should consider Grubhub delivery. The nurse prescribed steroids nothing for pain. Not sure if nurses can prescribe pain meds. Facility needs a through cleaning. I've been there a couple of times in the last few years and the service is definitely deteriorating. Wish I would have gone to the hospital or another ER Facility. It's a shame whats happened to America's Medical care.
