Accela Post Acute Care at Hamilton

My grandmother was here for a stroke. Her care team was excellent and the staff was very caring and helpful. Monica Wallace, vice president, helped me through the entire process. My grandmother's stroke derailed my family and Monica was so informational and kind. Shlomo, the administrator, was so responsive and always checked in on my grandmother. I knew that while I was away at school, the accela staff was taking good care of my grandmother. Nicole Delhagen was my grandmother's social worker and helped us find so many resources that we needed for life past my grandmother's stay. I'm really happy that the staff always made an effort to get my grandmother involved with other residents and she would tell me about the crafts that they would make. The team at Accela Post Acute Care in Hamilton NJ is fantastic! The care they gave to my grandfather was nothing short of amazing - everyone from Brianna and Trish, Nicole and the entire therapy team. I would certainly recommend Accela to anyone. Physical therapy is 5 stars! Most of the nurses and aids are good. Sometimes very slow to get bell answered for help in room. Understaffed. Sometimes bell for help is completely ignored. Facility is clean and updated. Food is subpar. Any cold cuts are just cheap “loafs”. You can tell the cheapest food is served. Even artificial flavored jelly for your toast! Activities are good and most of the staff tries hard. Takes along time to get test results. If you are able to walk to the bathroom on your own you will be fine. Ok for a short time and great rehab in physical therapy. Had to be honest.kitchen help is great and I am sure they do the best with the budget they get always willing to substitute. I had a lot of grilled cheese! But for rehab they are great!! Derrick the nurse
