Academy Animal Hospital

My three year old found a hummingbird splayed out in the parking lot and was determined to help it. The staff at Shalom Wildlife Hospital (attached to Academy Vet Clinic) were so kind and sweet to him (and of course the hummingbird). The vet gave us a little tour of the wildlife hospital and answered all of his questions thoughtfully. She let him watch as she prepared a nest box and put the little bird in the incubator. We’re so grateful the clinic accepts wild birds and happy to see our little friend get top notch care!

Academy Animal Hospital is great! We have taken our cat to a couple of the vets and they have all been helpful and knowledgeable and willing to do what they can to help with some complicated health issues. The vet techs are always so kind and sweet with our cat. She gets really scared at the vet and they are always very patient.

I hadn’t been to the vet hospital for about a year and it has definitely gone downhill. The floors were dirty. The shelves were bare The vets were new. After waiting for a half hour I saw a new veterinarian who was ok but He barely touched my dog. The touch and of having them know my dog was gone. My dog also needed a vaccination and they said they were up to date I insisted that they had sent an email that said she was due for a shot. The technician checked the records again and she indeed needed a distemper shot. So $765 later we were doneMeanwhile, there was another new vet clomping around the office, taking pictures and etc.. Meanwhile her patient was waiting for her. It was a fiasco time to find a new vet.

Run far from this vet office. Do NOT bring senior or sick pets here (or any pets!). The vet wouldn't even spend more than 10 mins on the phone with me after my cat declined after a costly visit with her & other appointments to diagnose. I was a loyal client of this practice for over 10 years, and the way my senior cat and I were treated during his time of need was devastating, unprofessional, and deeply traumatizing. When my senior cat became showed signs of issues, this office was unable and unwilling to provide appropriate care or clear communication. After spending a significant amount of money on testing, the original veterinarian I saw was fired the day they saw my cat. They didn’t care to tell me or why or communicate about it until I directly asked. Dr. Ellis then took over my cat’

We needed a vet in the area for our new puppy and found Academy on Google. We made an appointment for Bruno and had to change our appointment a couple times but the staff were always so warm and understanding. We felt so welcome on our first visit and Bruno was so comfortable with the staff and most especially Dr. Beccari. I just instantly felt that everyone cared about Bruno and every puppy visit since has been the same experience. Looking forward to a lifetime of healthy visits to Academy for Bruno.
