Abilities Hand Rehab & Therapy

In April 2024, I severed my left little finger in a tablesaw accident. I was certain it was not repairable, but my finger was reattached after eight hours of micro surgery. Then I began four months of therapy at Abilities Hand and Rehab Therapy. The therapists and staff were amazing! My surgeon had told me that I would not play any golf for a year. But, thanks to the care and talents of Abilities, I was playing golf by mid June. The staff is some of the most caring people I have ever met. I still stop and say “hi” when I’m in the area. I more than regained the use of my finger, I gained friendships.

I had two injuries to my hand that required surgical repairs in college. Fast forward 40 years and the requirements of my job have taken a toll on my thumb joints. Rita Dodd the owner and therapist helped me so much with first custom molding a splint to rest the inflamed joint and still allow me to do my job. Second phase was to develop an exercise regime to improve the mobility and strength the muscles needed to do my job! So grateful for the knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere at Abilities ! Highly recommend this office.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ABILITIES!! I had a major shoulder dislocation with nerve damage down to my hand. I barely had any movements in my wrist and hand when I walked in their door. Rita and her team worked miracles!!! Rita built contraptions for my wrist/hand/fingers that you could never buy. Between those and the therapy sessions, I have regained more movement than I ever thought I would get back! I can actually hold things, type on a computer and function in life! Without Rita and her team, that would not have happened! Everyone there was so caring and compassionate! I spend over a year in therapy (yes it was that bad). They always answered any questions or concerns I had. They worked great with my multiple doctors. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!!

In the past year and a half I have had both of my lower thumb joints fused because there was no Cartlidge left, and the bones were just grinding together. I started therapy at Abilities Hand Rehab and Therapy. The treatments loosened up my hands made it easier to use my hands. The staff are very informative and helpful. If you are having any issues with your hands due to an accident or surgery, I would highly recommend using this facility.
