Abbeville Area Medical Center

Recently, I took a neighbor to the ER and from the ER, the admin, Dr & nurses were amazing. Then admitted, same for those on the floor. Excellent care from beginning till dismissed, even the Chaplain visited while there. The best communication from Dr & nurses and test were ran & updated into My Chart quickly, keeping us informed. After being dismissed a plan was in place for future test, medication changes and home health care set up. A call was placed after returning home to ask about his stay. I would give 10 stars if possible. I am happy to be a part of the hospital foundation board and to know this is the excellent care that is given to each patient. Proud to call this our hospital and so happy to have it here at home.

Since self took over this treatment facility it's trash. I was just there and walked out staff was busy having a good time. Had to go back in and check in again. Check in attendant was to busy talking with environmental services. To realize she didn't even check me in. Security had to come and ask me what I was waiting for. He had to make them stop laughing and do there jobs. Then the MD just didn't want to solve my issues and drain the thing. Bring back Dr Floyd Bring back Dr Wang.

Clean and orderly. I have been switching doctors and offices for infusions for the past year and this is a nice hospital. Food was terrible and the chairs are uncomfortable but overall it was a good experience. Absolutely loved the nurse on call for my first appointment.

This review is solely on the Dr. that treated me yesterday. I was following directions of EMS to follow up from my Auto accident that occurred on this past Tuesday. I followed up with ER per EMS on Weds and I was assigned this DR. He was so extremely uncompassionate and the rudest medical provider I have ever dealt with in my 51 years of life. It was sad because all the other staff and nurses at Abbeville Hospital were so extremely helpful with my circumstances and well-being. It was such an awful, downgrading experience having this medical provider treat me; no examination was done and he just ordered CT Scans and X-Rays and wrote out RX. I wanted to walk out of the hospital and go somewhere else, but I had already waited some time to get a room and my body was hurting so bad. I d

I was treated good the first visit. Dr Brandon Scott is a beautiful person and he treated me like a dr who cares about his patients and I appreciate that the manager called me asking about a pain mgt physician yelling at me on my 1st visit she defended me and said that pain mgt would be stopped..it was not my fault and family saw that with me on my visit..I had applied for a new patient and my paperwork was missing 3 times. I sent a certified letter to the office addressed to Dr Oxedine and when I went back as emergency walk in another dr said we. Got your letter and we can not see you because you have seen 6 Dr's..I have been on disability 25 years and 7 Dr's were at the last office under the same roof.
