A-1 Pharmacy Hammond

If I could leave a negative 5 stars, I certainly would.. This isn’t a review on his work specifically, but his overall compassion and empathy. I don’t rely on a pharmacy, but if I didn’t..this would be my absolute last choice. On Friday evening around 4:30 PM, my mother-in-law’s car broke down in front of A1. She parked it as far away from the business as possible to be respectful. Funds are limited so instead of paying for a separate tow to her house all the way in COVINGTON..she lined the mechanic up to pick it up Monday morning since their shop would be closed all weekend. Before finalizing that plan, she went inside A1 to ask if it would be okay to leave the car there until Monday. She was explicitly told yes and that it would be no issue at all. Eric and his staff are an amazing change from the box pharmacies who treat you like a number if they acknowledge you at all. Usual wait time is 10 min compared to 10hrs at CVS and Walgreens.

A1 is a reputable pharmacy, but unfortunately, one staff member consistently displays poor behavior. Racheal often exhibits a negative attitude and communicates with me in a condescending manner. I have addressed these concerns with the manager on multiple occasions, but no action has been taken. I have never encountered any issues with Janice, Alisha, or Crystal. I’m really thinking about switching back to Chanel’s!

I've been with A1 for over 5 years. The staff is beyond wonderful. Even on the hard days they're smiling. 😊

Staff & Service are always impeccable. Fast, friendly and affordable. They always greet you by name, well when you've been going as long as I have. They have went great lengths to help me when I had problems with insurance or PA's in the past. I drive out of my way to go to A-1 before going to Big name pharmacy's.
