I have been a patient a Zuckerberg hospital many times. It's never been bad but it's never been great either. This time was completely different. I went in for hearing loss. It came on quickly and it was very scary for me. I went to the urgent Care, and was seen by an amazing doctor, and she was also the new director of that department. And she was amazing. They not only had me in and out of there but they had me set up with an audiologist for this week and had all of my worries put to ease. They couldn't have found a better doctor for the job. Thank you very much to all of you at Zuckerberg for helping me through a very scary time.

My family and I had one of the worst experiences imaginable at San Francisco General Hospital, specifically in the Emergency Department and on unit 7-8. My grandmother was a patient in the ED and experienced severe neglect. No one checked on her for over six hours. I was at her bedside the entire time, and if I hadn’t been there, I genuinely fear what could have happened. She repeatedly needed to use the bathroom but was elderly and extremely fragile. There was no proactive rounding, no safety checks, and no concern for fall risk. I had to act as her nurse, advocate, and safety monitor because no one else was doing it. Eventually, she was admitted to another floor (7-8), where the care became even more distressing. The assigned nurse, Kanika, showed zero empathy or compassion, even given

The urgent care people were very good to me🧡. I went to do xrays on Presidents’ day but Radiology department was closed. Receptionist told me to go to urgent care. The doctor was so patient understanding my pain and concern. She ordered me the xrays and sent me to Emergency room to do it before closing at 4pm. After its done the nurse called me to come back to Urgent Care waiting for the results together with the doctor . I feel the experience was very smooth, even on a busy holiday. People in the hospital really cared about me. I was a person they remembered. Now I am so relieved knowing I’m all good. Thanks to them helping me!

Absolutely disgusting unhygienic my father was admitted for 2 week because of his heart condition. Nurse's never changed his bedding sheets or bathed my father the nurses are extremely rude too the room the floors were sticky unhygienic janitors use Swiffer to mop the floors unbelievable the room was never cleaned blankets cover in urine all over the floor. Zuckerberg hospital spent millions on security guards and metal detectors but can't buy basic cleaning supplies and janitors are lazy rude my family had come in multiple times cleaned the room ask nurse if they changed sheets was told they didn't have anymore clean bed sheets which led me to believe they were reusing dirty sheets or never change them

I have been a long time Kaiser client. January 2026 I had to switch to Cigna Health. This February I crushed my hand on the the job sight in San Francisco. I went to Zuckerberg SF General. I can not say enough great thing about my treatment there. From check-in, to vitals to, x-rays, to treatment, and out patient, I don't think I waited longer than 20 minutes between staitons. When I did have to wait between stations someone would check in on me or say hi. Even the the security guard at the metal detector was very friendly. When I got to my room the doctors were already there, greeted me, and went right to work on my had. I was in and out of the hospital in less than 4 hours, with a follow-up appointment. Clean, efficient, and very friendly. Keep up the good work Zuckerberg SF General.
