Zephyr Haven Nursing Home

My mom has been to several different rehabilitation facilities over the years. When she got Covid a year ago, she was sent here to the Covid wing to recover, and I was horrified because of the bad reviews. But, I have to say, her care was great, most of the staff was very compassionate and caring (there is always going to be that "one" that is not so good no matter where you go). The physical therapy department was fantastic. They got my mom back on her feet and walking again after being in bed for 3 long weeks. She was so weak at first that she couldn't even sit up by herself. The rooms are not as fancy as their sister rehab in North Zephyrhills, but it looked like there had been some recent remodeling done in some of the facility. And they have a wonderful park literally right next door.

My sister had a fall a couple of weeks ago. She chose this facility because of it's reviews. Which is why I want to share our experience. Since she has been here the staff and patients could not be nicer. The admissions director Marissa Hughes has been very helpful. She has made herself available to answer any questions we have and help guide us through the process. My sister is happy and is getting stronger each day. The facility is clean and well maintained. I do recommend this facility.

This place is horrible. My Mom is there for therapy after a fall & hip surgery. It’s dirty & super outdated. Duck taped handicap chair over the toilet-ugh. Most of the staff is not attentive or very friendly & need to check their attitudes or get a job they want to do-I’m sorry if your patients are an inconvenience. My mother rings for help to go to the bathroom & it takes 30 minutes to come help her only to say “I didn’t hear it”. Umm isn’t that your job!!!!???? And that’s only one incident, you don’t want to know the other. The rehab therapists seem to be the only good thing there. They’ve been great so far at least. Mom has asked daily for 3 days to wash her hair-nothing! Whoever runs that place needs to have more training with their staff & remind them what they are there for & what th

Everyone has been very kind and compassionate during this somewhat difficult transition. The staff here has been incredible! It brings me a great deal of comfort, that my loved one is being taken care of, when I leave there.

Both my aunt and my brothers father in law currently reside here and we are pleased with the service that they receive. The staff are caring and go the extra mile when their patients are in pain. The therapy staff work hard to rehab all the patients that need it and the activities are pretty constant and they keep encouraging every one to join in. The food is in good too and they give lots of options for the pickiest of eater's! I only gave 4 not 5 stars because of the smell. I know it can't be helped with so many people wearing diapers in the same small area, but even when I get home from visiting my family. My clothes stink and I rush them into the washing machine. So if it weren't for that I would give it 5 stars. Even the furniture and the the decor both inside and out are so lovely! T
