Something happened with my review as I had attempted to post and it seems to never have made it through for some reason. But our experience was so fantastic that I wanted to take the time to try again and say why we really liked going here. As a nurse myself, I understand the value of an extremely competent professional. Dr. Lisa is NOT your typical orthodontist in the best of ways. She is SO competent, that she can bring the various perspectives to the table and allow you to make an informed decision for what is best for YOUR family. We had our four children evaluated by her. Each with their own unique needs. In the end, three kids are stable enough to not need intervention at this time. I brought my daughter here because she was a thumb sucker and then became a finger sucker. We tried several home remedies that did not work. I brought her to Dr. Lisa to see if there was an appliance that we could put in her mouth that would prevent her from sucking her fingers. Dr. Lisa told my daughter she could have an appliance, but it generally didn’t get good results, and she could only have it if she wanted it. Of course my daughter did not want it, and I agree that she wasn’t ready for it. I was trying to prevent long-term damage of her mouth shape, face shape and tooth placement. I ended up paying for the deposit required for the consultation. The consultation didn’t provide any solutions. I ended up coming up with my own solution which has been working, and I wanted to share it

We cannot say enough great things about Yurkiewicz Orthodontics! Dr. Lisa’s expertise, especially in orthotropics, is unmatched. We drove two hours one way to see her because of her extensive knowledge and dedication to providing the best care. She takes the time to explain every step, answers all our questions with patience, and ensures we feel confident in the process. We highly recommend Dr. Lisa and her team. It’s worth every mile for the amazing results and the smiles we’re proud to show off!

I drove 4 hours to meet with Dr Lisa. It was 100% worth it. She took her time to explain all the treatment options, their advantages and disadvantages, and clearly expressed when she thought something could be ultimately harmful or unnecessary. Her willingness to collaborate and treat a patient in tandem with other physicians is extraordinary. I've been with plenty of doctors who just try to shove any treatment at you and are in it solely for profit. Dr Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, and professional. I felt safe with her recommendations and advice, unlike my past experience with several orthodontists. After working with 3 orthodontists, she is the only one I would recommend to anyone.

I wanted an orthodontist who was willing to listen to all of the things I have learned over the years about teeth and the development of the face and airway but also have much of the knowledge herself so we could come up with a plan together. I found her. Dr. Lisa was so warm, an encyclopedia of information, humble about what she felt she knew or where the limits of her understanding were, and compassionate about the struggle of trying to find the right approach for each child. I am thrilled to have her as “team captain” on this orthodontic trip with our daughter. Her staff is as warm as she is; we had such a good experience today.
