York General Hearthstone

This review is to help prevent anyone from experiencing the tragedy that my family experienced at the hands of the Hearthstone Nursing Home. I would never recommend this place nor would I ever place anyone I love in their care again. Their staff, though they boast great care, are incompetent with alzheimer and dementia patients, leaving them to wander and fall throughout their poorly monitored facility. My grandparent was left unattended by their incapable and inconsiderate staff long enough to fall causing critical injuries and then death. I want others to be wary so that this facility doesn't take what precious years you have left with your loved one like they did with mine.

This is a nursing home that not only does not care about their residents, they also threaten them and make them feel like trash. As if the residents dont have rights. They also treat the staff horribly. Constantly understaffed. Only making sure that when state comes thru that it looks like the have the help needed to take complete care of the residents. But in reality they do not. They will leave 1 nurse and 1 Cna on a floor for an entire shift and then blame the staff for inconsistent care of the residents. The lady in Charge Treva is as fake as they come. Pretending to care about people, but really only caring about the bottom dollar! The staff on 500 and 600 wing are some of the worst. Catty highschool mentality that deprives the residents of the actual care they should be receiving. If

With the crazy situation our world is in and not being able to be with our dad/husband we thank God for some of the great staff at Hearthstone. Dawana, thank you so much for taking your time to help us Facetime with my dad. He can't hear or really understand what's happening and you take your time to restate things we say, explain things over and over... Can't say thank you enough.🥰

I've had my mom recently live here at the Hearthstone and received great care from the Therapy department to the great nursing staff, dietary department, environmental department my mom was able to return to her apartment and return to the life she can enjoy.

Excellent staff, very caring and compassionate.
