Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care Stratford

There was a 1+ hour wait when we went for our scheduled appointment. But rather than make my 2 year old sit in the waiting room, the front desk staff went the extra mile to contact us when our appointment was getting close so we could go home. I love it when staff is empowered to think outside of the box and do the best thing for the patient rather than just following rigid, one-size-fits-all policies!

The front desk staff was efficient. The MA was efficient. The PA was very nice and concerning. The xray technician was cold, and unfriendly. Not customer service level behavior at all. She never asked if I needed help ( I had left hip surgery on 2/4). Noreen expected me to swing my left leg out for an x-ray, when I could barely lift it. She never asked me do i think I can do that. Noreen lacked empathy and concern for my well being as a patient in this walkin clinic. I have used many of Yale NHH facilities and this one before. The people here minus the PA ( she was great) are robotic, marginally friend and just efficient. People skills seem to be lacking.

I made an appointment at which they were even early ! Very kind. The medical assistant was very courteous and concerned. The PA was a wonderful young woman who I feel was the best help I have received w my bronchitis… I feel I will finally be rid of it. Thank you so much

Waiting time was reasonable. The staff is very courteous and professional. They listen to your concerns and make reasonable decisions regarding care. I needed to get a follow up X-ray. They sent me too a place a block away. Thoughtfully, they had a paper with the address with a picture of the building. It was just a little extra that was nice to see.

It’s been almost 48 hours since being seen, facility sent prescription to Walgreens pharmacy despite multiple requests for CVS since Walgreens does not work with my insurance. I’ve gotten the run around for 2 business days, still no contact from anyone following up on results that were clearly sent as they’re accessible on MyChart. Go to a primary care doctor and avoid this place at all costs.
