Xpress Urgent Care

I walked into Xpress Urgent Care in December and found only one other individual waiting for a drug test. He had been waiting for a while, around 45 minutes according to him and was pacing the lobby. I had checked in, filled out the new patient paperwork and had been sitting their quite a while, maybe 30 minutes before being called up to the desk. I was told that my insurance did not cover the Urgent Care visit. I asked the staff to call my insurance company and they in fact confirmed that my insurance did have coverage for the visit. After the call, I was informed that I would have to pay a large amount for the visit. I was told that I did not meet my deductible. I decided to leave and try to go to my doctor instead. Never go to this urgent care. From the front desk to the medical assistant and the doctor, it was very clear that they simply did not care. The lack of empathy and attention was obvious. The doctor came in, listened to the lungs on only one side, took a flu test, and that was it. The entire visit lasted about 2 minutes. They did not check the throat, the ears, look for any rash, or perform a proper overall examination. In other words, nothing was properly evaluated. As expected, the only recommendation was their favorite answer: Tylenol or ibuprofen. No explanations, no guidance, no real medical care. If you are looking for thorough care and providers who actually care about their patients, stay far away from this place.

The front office staff is nice enough. Unfortunately the management of this company is terrible. I went in twice in August when I was not feeling well. I had not hit my deductible so they charged me a high amount both times (different amounts each time) to cover what the service might cost instead of billing me later once insurance covered their part. I was told that once the insurance portion goes through I would be receiving a check for what was overcharged. I have called their office several times. The woman in the billing department seems annoyed every time she answers the phone and I have yet to get a call back from the Tustin office manager who I have left messages for as to the status of my check. I needed staples taken out of my head and wanted to get in and out, They let you schedule appointments, which I think is awesome. I had some paperwork to take care (honestly, not too bad), got in let them know what I needed and I was out the door in about 5 min. I was referred by a friend who also had a positive experience. Highly recommend.

My wife and have gone here about 1-2 times per year since they opened. Usually when I get a cough or cold during the winter. Very good location, service and treatment. A couple of weeks ago I had a fall in public. The next day I went there because my arm felt like it might have a break. I was able to get seen and exrayed. No break. My wife and I recommend this office.
