WVU Medicine Jackson General Hospital

If you actually have an emergency you better go to another hospital the doctors are slow as could be better expect to be there no less than 5 hours place is a joke not to mention none of the staff is very friendly

My bp was high Dr gave me a pill said he back in lil bit to check on me. 4 hrs went by I rung for the nurse asked if he forgot about me. She started screaming at me. I will not take this treatment. I wasn't mean to her there's no need.

They were really great with me . I had to be brought in because my oxygen level was at 68 .And I swear they saved my life . But today I brought my son in for a MRI and waited a hour past the appointment time before he got called back .

I called Jackson general and asked to politely speak to a nurse because I had a question about it over counter Medicine. It was a simple question to ask if I could take the overcount of medicine with my insulin. It is 8 PM at night. There is no pharmacies open nor my doctor. I was advised that I could not be told anything to do with medication. And I was told to come in and get seen just to be told if I can take an over-the-counter medicine with my Insulin. I’m sorry, but I do not want to be charged 700+ dollars just to be told a simple yes or no for a simple question. And to top it off, the receptionist was completely rude and hung up on me. But besides that the doctors are great since they’ve redone the hospital. If you would’ve asked me a year ago if I trust Jackson General I would’ve

Worst hospital ever. It looks nice now and the nurses (other than Jordan, who spends more time downstairs, on his phone, than doing his job) and other staff are nice but the doctors are absolutely clueless. Pretty sure most of them were at the very bottom of their class and barely passed. Horrible bedside manner and no clue how to diagnose people.
