**A Word of Caution on Billing Practices** I was a patient of Dr. Wishnew at 'Richardson Wound Care Center' for a C-section wound infection. It took 16 visits to heal, with a total bill of $20,000 to my insurance, of which I paid about $1,650 out of pocket. Four months later, I received new bills for the same services, which I was told were for the "doctor's charges" after I had already paid the "facility charges." I was particularly frustrated to learn that I could have potentially avoided the separate facility charges by seeing the doctor at her private practice (Texas Infectious Disease Institute: Serge Lartchenko, MD). The lack of transparency in the billing process is concerning, and I recommend that all prospective patients clarify the billing structure upfront.

Very strange insurance billing. Patient beware. Office address does not match billing address, Billing address does not match mailing address, Doctor’s name does not match billing doctor’s name, Insurance unable to pay % of the claim since none of the information matches. Try to pay bill in office, Office is unable to take money to pay bill, Something strange is happening here.

I love Dr Wishnew and her staff. They are so friendly and make you feel like family. I adore each one of them!
