Woolery Family Dentistry

Absolutely DO NOT recommend Woolery Family Dentistry, particularly Dr. Robert Woolery Jr. My experience was not just disappointing — it was damaging, and ultimately resulted in the permanent loss of a tooth. During a routine cleaning, a filling that Dr. Woolery had placed became dislodged. The hygienist informed him right away, but he did not examine or address the tooth. Instead, he told me it would “take too long” to fix and focused on other fillings instead. The original filling had already taken over two hours and felt off from the start. I later learned it had caused internal resorption, leaving the tooth beyond saving. I needed antibiotics due to the condition it was left in and am now facing extraction. Everyone at this practice is so awesome. Reception is always warm and kind, even when I have to call because of my own mistake. They are also flexible if you need to change your appointment! Seriously, Dottie is the nicest lady in all of Ocean City. Dr. Woolery and the rest of the staff have the patience of saints. My daughter needed some work down and she was less then thrilled. They spoke with her, explained what they were doing each step and tried their very best to comfort her, they even used Netflix to put on one of her favorite shows! I have not experienced this place as a patient myself yet but I'm sure I will be pleased.

Really nice staff. I was on vacation in OC and had a suddenly worsening toothache. They got me in same day due to a cancellation, otherwise it would have been first thing next day. So appreciated. The young Dr. Woolery took time to discuss the issue. Even better, he took time to do some simple but effective diagnostic tests to see just how bad the tooth was. It wasn't as bad as feared. Same day! They produced a bite guard to keep me from further harming my molars. Note this usually takes a couple days, but considering my short stay (and obvious pain?), they managed to get it made in a day. Ever grateful. 😊

Dr. Woolery Jr. is my go-to dentist down the shore! He really takes care of his patients and is very meticulous. All of the staff there is great, too.
