My 90-year-old mother, who was in severe pain and seeking pre-op clearance, was treated with utter contempt by Dr. Hon-Yuen Wong. From the start, Dr. Wong was rude and dismissive. When my mother explained she had stopped a blood thinner because it was causing her to bleed from her gums and ears (a medication we later found out was the wrong prescription for her condition), Dr. Wong literally told her, "You are so stupid" in Chinese. He then aggressively told her, "You are going to have a stroke." It is clear that Dr. Wong discriminates against elderly, non-English speaking patients. Instead of showing compassion or investigating why a medication was causing bleeding, he resorted to verbal abuse and fear-mongering. Dr. Wong takes a great care of his patients. Every time I went to visit the doctor's office, I always received the best treatment. He particularly listens attantively to his patient's explaining their symptoms and adjusted his treatment plan accordingly.
