Winter Park Care and Rehabilitation Center

I would like to thank the staff at Winter Park Care and rehabilitation center for the wonderful care they gave to my 80 year old Uncle. Even though the facility could use a remodel, the staff were excellent. I greatly appreciate Wilda Gines (Social Services)and Linnette Camacho (Director of Nursing). Their compassion and knowledge were exactly what we needed to navigate my Uncle's care while in the center and moving forward.They are an asset to the facility and to the patients and families they help. Thank You to the nursing staff and Physicians who took care of him.

My 81 years old mother was in the rehab unit for several weeks while recovering from a pelvic fracture. She was always looked after and in no time regained her ability to walk and became independent thanks to the occupational and physical therapies. She love the staff from the housekeepers to the nurse department. Always liked the food and even gained weight while there. The social worker was god sent as she helped me navigate her being in the facility and me living out of state. Thanks to everyone who truly made a stressful situation so easy to manage! Negative Stars, They do not even deserve any stars. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES AT THIS FACILITY. Very unprofessional, they leave patients waiting for hours while they sit on their cell phones in the nurses station. They leave patients in the hall way for long periods of time without changing them or letting them eat. My family member is completely immobile and they don't have a working hoist to put her in the bed so she has to wait for hours. Social Worker does not know what she is doing to get patients the proper help for when they are released home. DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY HERE !!

Do not place your loved one in this facility. My family member was placed here and has since passed. They are understaffed and nursing staff is rude. They don’t ensure basic safety for their patients as there are no calls bells in patient rooms, and they leave patients in soiled garments for hours. They also do not make time to feed your loved ones or make sure they are given water, especially if the patient cannot feed themselves. The location is also dirty and under construction. They had patients coming up to the front desk to ask for daily medications, meanwhile what are the bed bound patients supposed to do. If you want your loved to recover do not send them here.

The care and compassion of the entire team was a tremendous support system for me as I was the primary family member who was there on a regular basis assisting my Dad. From the medical directors, Dr. Ho and Tanisha-Nurse Practitioner; to the nurses, nursing assistants, the business team, the therapists, activities representatives, the meal team, cleaning team, and last but not least—the warm welcome received by the front entrance team. When not with my Dad, I was always able to receive prompt phone updates. Grateful for the care that Dad received and I know that he was loved and in good hands.
