I can't believe I ever gave RiteAid my business. Not only does it feel nice to support a local business, but the crew and pharmacist at Wilson's are so, so kind and talented. I'm a bit of a frequent flyer when it comes to pharmacies, and the folk at Wilson's have *always* been patient and attentive with my questions and needs.
Really disappointed in this place. Riteaid closed and I came here to get my script filled and they told me that I had to get my doctor to send it myself. Have they ever dealt with UPMC's telephone line? Every other pharmacy on the planet makes the call and makes the arrangements as part of the service. I really wanted to give my business to my local pharmacy and not go to a big box chain, but apparently they have no interest in obtaining my long-term business. Unfortunately since Riteaid transferred their scripts to CVS and it's a pain to contact the DR office, I am now going to a big box chain. All they had to do is make a call like every pharmacy has made for decades. I just looked at other reviews and someone else make the same comment, with the same quote "it's just easier". No, i
The sign says they welcome Rite Aid customers, "bring your bottle and we'll do our best." This is unfortunately not true, as they want you to do all the arrangements to transfer your script so they don't have to do anything. At least take the sign down then?
I needed some help with some prescriptions, but I am from out of town. The pharmacist took care of my needs, and was friendly and professional. Plus, I was able to pick up everything else I needed. The staff members I encountered had that same positive energy. Pittsburgh is lucky to have such a great pharmacy.
I transferred my meds over because Rite Aid is closing. I had a very confusing experience with the pharmacy staff in which they said they didn’t have my medication. I verified with Rite Aid that they did send it. I called Wilsons back and they said they didn’t. They did not offer to help me and suggested that I have my doctor send new prescriptions because “it would just be easier.” They were pretty rude and unapologetic. It’s a shame because I live a few blocks away. I’m going to go somewhere else because I don’t have time or emotional energy to be treated like that. Not exactly the “Family Pharmacy” treatment that they advertise.
