William R. Wise, MD, FACS

Dr. Wise was the urologist who saw our son in the beginning of October 2024. Our son Miles needed nephrostomy tubes as he was not able to urinate. We were told that it could be the scar tissue from his surgeries that are causing these complications. Dr. Wise did the procedure for nephrostomy tubes. We were told Miles tolerated the procedure well. At this point we were getting calls from the case manager that Miles was is the process of getting discharged from the hospital, that it could be any day. Despite all of these complications and medical needs. We did not understand. We wanted Dr. Wise to know that Miles died of colon cancer at the age of 23 on 11/1/24 without ever knowing he had cancer. I was transferred from the VA ER to Sunrise hospital because my urethral stents were dislodge and causing great pain and constant leakage of urine. The VA urologist was out of town and this procedure needed to take place quickly. The VA ER medical doctor contacted the urologist Dr Wise and he agreed to evaluate my situation. Three days went by without seeing Dr. Wise, however, several tests were needed daily. Finally, a PA under Dr. Wise came to talk with my husband and I. We explained the situation and showed him pictures of the MASSIVE BLOOD CLOTS that were flowing through my urethral. Looking at the imaging from the VA, our pictures, he stated that he highly recommended that stents needs to be removed and replaced and will pass this information to Dr Wise. Days went by with no contact

I met Dr. Wise for the first time today. Very kind and knowledgeable doctor! He was thorough and took his time during my appointment. He also had everything printed-out and ready for me (without me needing to provide him with my test results). To error on the side of caution, he even recommended an additional test. Out of all the doctors I've seen over the years in Las Vegas, I'd rank Dr. Wise very highly. I'll be seeing him for a follow-up, undoubtedly.

Had a procedure done mid December 2022. Made a follow appointment per their instructions which was rescheduled 3 times. Show up for my appointment 1/11/23 was told from my last visit that they will probably remove my stent. Showed up for my appointment they acted like they didn't even know why I was there!! Here's a concept read the patient file and get a clue!! Then I was told nothing is happening since they didn't get the lab results of my kidney stone . Why not call me and reschedule again instead of calling and texting me for two days to confirm my appointment. I will not be paying for this office visit!!! I had my son in to see Dr. Wise. His staff was professional and polite. Dr. Wise is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. And I have dealt with so many. He was great with my 18 year old and solved his problem quickly. And yet he was also thorough. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
